The Art of Online Scheduling Online

I just stumbled across the coolest online scheduling company in the country – Schedulicity.

I’ve always been a believer in convenience, and to-the-point business communication.

This is a great tool for self-employed personel, or small businesses like Salons, Therapists, Personal trainers, etc.

There are some other great features including the ability to offer live online scheduling on facebook, twitter, through widgets and links.

It’s awesome! I really have no vested interest in sharing my excitement for this company other than knowing that if I find something that helps me in my business, there’s a chance it could help someone else out there.

I posted the link below for you to check it out for yourself!

Reality Check – Your World & Your Business

If you don’t know what half of the icons represent, then you’re in trouble. Welcome to the modern age where time is counted in tweets and your status in the world depends on your social network, having a blog, website, and twitter account. These are essential and are almost more important now these days than the status of driving a nice car or having a nice house. People are indoors more than ever, and looking at you through the lens of their computer screen. Business is moving at the speed of light, and more people are spending time indoors and with their gadgets: the ipad, iphone, blackberry, laptop, DVR, wii, Kindle, PS3 etc. And I’m sure this list will be slightly outdated in the next 3 months, as technological knowledge, power and speeds are increasing exponentially.

You better be prepared to get in the game or get left behind when it comes to your business. Remember that the kids who grew up on nintendo and starbucks are soon to be the leaders of our day. Sound frightening? It may or may not be, depending on your faith in the next generation.

All this to say, if you own a business, it’s time to take your social network seriously. If you are not online, you may as well be dead. People search google and yahoo for everything they need, and the phone book is shrinking and will eventually go out of circulation, or be offered at a price.

My advice? Get some “kids” to help you bring your business up to speed. If you don’t have one already, my suggestion is to drop what you’re doing right now and sign up for a facebook account, twitter account, and get yourself a website domain with go-daddy or yahoo small business and start building a website. Oh, and if you don’t have a blog – well then, we’ll just assume that you have nothing to say of value. Get a blog, write down your thoughts. Someone will read it. Learn about SEO, and if you have some extra cash, you should hire an online marketing team to get your online business in full swing.

Ebay, Paypal, iTunes, and Apple are ruling the world, and if you don’t get in the game soon, you’re sure to get left behind. So, snap to it, my friend. It’s not as hard or as scary as it seems. Put one foot in front of the other and make some calls. Someone is sure to know a “kid” or two that will help get you in the game. Be prepared to pay for this kind of help, though. Everyone knows that to make money, you’ll need to spend some.
